The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was grandly held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5th to 10th. As a global player of event industry, GL events once again shines in Hall 8.2 ¡°Trade In Services¡± with the theme of ¡°Bringing People Together For A Shared Future¡±.
Since its debut in 2019, this is the fourth time GL events joined CIIE. GL events has consistently expanded its presence in the China¡¯s event industry since 2006. So far, GL events has set up more than 20 companies in China. With over 750 employees, a national network spanning 15 major cities in China and global network across five continents, GL events is committed to bringing people together locally and globally.
During the event, GL Talk is back on stage from Nov 6th to 8th with teams and industry peers from local and abroad to present the latest development of the event industry from local and global perspectives.
President of GL events Greater China, Ms. In¨¨s Ginon, CEO of GL events Exhibitions, Mr. Philippe Pasquet, CEO of GL events Venues, Mr. Christophe Cizeron and team gathered onsite to present the glocalization strategy across 3 core business divisions, Live, Venues, and Exhibitions. Risk management and CSR General Director, Ms. Audrey Chavancy has shared the Group¡¯s CSR global approach for sustainable event industry online.
In the morning of November 6th, French Ambassador Mr. Bertrand Lortholary visited GL events booth onsite together with the French delegation group. Ms. In¨¨s Ginon shared the latest development of three business divisions across China and Mr. Bertrand Lortholary affirmed the development of GL events China over the past 17 years.
In the morning of November 8th, a MOU on Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony in between GL events and Chengdu Rongbei Business Circle Development Service Bureau was held onsite. This signing marks further cooperation of two parties towards construction and development of Chengdu Rongbei Business Circle in MICE industry. Both parties will jointly explore and enrich MICE activities in the Chengdu Rongbei Business Circle, support to enhance the attractiveness and international influence of Jinniu District.
In response to the CIIE¡¯s theme focus on "sustainability", GL events showcased sustainability at CIIE this year in 3 ways, from d¨¦cor to marketing and promotions to onsite sharing.
GL events¡¯ booth and furnishing onsite were built with recycled materials and reuseable materials to promote eco-design booth solutions. Greentech+ series tradeshows with focuses on ecological innovation and sustainable development have been introduced onsite by International Office Team in China.
"GO GREEN with GL events¡± campaign was successfully launched at GL events¡¯ booth to promote sustainability development online and offline. More than 700 green guardians joined the campaign onsite and shared their GO GREEN picture on Chinese social media.
Mr. Vladimir DJUROVIC and Kevin GENTLE from Labbrand, Jae LI from Green Connections, Hong ZHENG from Greenext, Wenjing ZHAO from Goodcycle Environmental Technologies and Kaivn GUO from EY were invited to join GL events onsite to share their insightful findings and views focusing on sustainability and digital innovation from various perspectives.
CIIE provides an open & win-win platform for international enterprises to further its localization development in China market. It is also an opportunity for industry peers and experts to share their best practice, knowledge and to discuss the latest development and findings.
