Zhejiang, China, April 24, 2023 ¨C With the theme of "Connection and Innovation for a Better Future", The 18th China Expo Forum for International Cooperation (CEFCO 2023) kicked off in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province.

CEFCO Forum is co-organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) and International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA). So far, it has been successfully held for 17 sessions, with more than 1,000 famous individuals worldwide participating in each session.

The plenary meeting themed ¡°Strengthening opening up and cooperation of the international exhibition industry and maintaining the security and stability of the global industrial chain¡± in the afternoon gathered elites from local and international exhibition industry to discuss the latest development and explore the future of the industry.

At the plenary meeting, president of GL events Greater China Ms. In¨¨s Ginon delivered a speech titled ¡°Resilience, Agility & Confidence: Rethinking of the world of events¡±. She emphasized the important role of this industry plays in shaping our global economy - fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and support economic growth.

She said ¡°Over the past three years, the MICE industry has experienced a rapid acceleration of change and innovation, yet its enduring value has remained constant. As a platform, we continue to provide value, entertainment, business opportunities, and social responsibility to people, a fact that has never changed despite the challenges faced.¡±

With the core value of Bringing People Together and three factors of MICE industry, stakeholders and organizers, she further elaborated how we can adapt to changing conditions and remain innovative at the face of adversity and hold our responsibility towards a community of shared future for global development of the exhibition industry.
